Undeclared Engineering
Engineering is about problem solving, innovation, and the creation of devices, systems, processes, and structures for human use. Engineers create new ideas and then transform those ideas into products and services that improve people’s lives. If you are unsure of which engineering major is best for you, Undeclared Engineering is a good way to explore engineering majors.
Beginning in Spring 2015, Undeclared Engineering majors must declare a major by the end of their 4th semester at UC Merced. If you have not declared a major by the end of your 4th semester (not including summers), you will have an advising hold placed on your academic record. The School of Engineering’s goal is to help provide you with the resources and support to assist you in declaring the best major for your interests and skills.
