As part of UC Merced’s Engineers Week (E-Week), the Student Alumni Association (SAA) is hosting the Alumni Career Chat Employment Success Series (A.C.C.E.S.S.): Engineering featuring a panel of UC Merced alumni in various engineering careers and industries.
Join us for conversations with our alumni panel and learn about their journey from undergraduate/graduate student to career professionals. How did UC Merced shape their journey? How did they prepare for the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification? What classes/activities are recommended to help you succeed? Ask these questions and more to learn how you can best leverage your education and resources.

Graduate School Series - Continuing the Conversation
This session will provide a space for students to discuss and ask follow-up questions after attending the previous sessions. After a brief general presentation in the main room, participants will access breakout rooms covering topics where staff will discuss tips, tricks, and hidden information to help you navigate the next steps in the application process. Breakout room topics will include funding graduate school, faculty (connections and selecting grad advisor), admissions information, and research experience.

Environmental Summit
Participants will learn about the NRDCC and will discuss with leading NRDC experts the current state of the environment, how environmental advocacy is a tool for social progress, and learn about environmental policy careers.
Participants will participate in small group discussions with leading environmental policy experts and attend presentations on critical issues including the importance of centering equity in environmental advocacy.
